Toccatas

Léon Berben has been the Ramee label’s featured early keyboard soloist for some time. His releases have received quite a bit of well-deserved praise. The latest, which focuses on J.S. Bach’s toccatas for harpsichord and organ, is a virtuosic and high energy survey of some of the most difficult works for each instrument. Berben dispatches all technical difficulties with ease while bringing out the character of Bach’s music.
